Golfer has gone off on an adventure to France today to play golf with his mates on a French green...off they set this morning at 6am, six men and their golf clubs laughing and joking their way through the Channel Tunnel in a black London taxi...who says...

WHITE OR LIGHT WOOD?

There's a debate raging between golfer and me about the colour of our kitchen...I want light wood with a Cuban red wall to accommodate the African theme I already have going on in my current kitchen, he wants white, white and more white...what do do think?...

Yesterday, golfer wrote the holding cheque for the flat...it's not every day you write a cheque for £5,000! It's looking great and we're very excited; it's very stressful though, lots to think about, a lot of changes, a lot of hurdles, I won't relax until...

Well, no change tonight...I think I have lost my concentration, there is so much going on I'm not looking after my own needs as much as I should...okay. Got to get back to doing what I do best: rising to a challenge.

SWIMMING #2

Yesterday I shaved two seconds off my lap time at the swimming pool...4 days prior to that it was 10 seconds I shaved off! I'm really getting into it, and starting to enjoy it now that I can do it effectively and don't half drown every time. I think it's...

SWIMMING

A while ago I wrote about my problems with swimming, and notably my inability to keep my bum in the water when I was doing the breast stroke...well, I'm happy to say that, 2½ stones on from that, I can now swim without my buoyant bum floating to the surface....

It's weigh-in tonight and I'm scared! Valentine's weekend, plus a trip to the Isle of Wight on Tuesday have scuppered me this week...it's hard being a weight watcher.

Minus 750g that I put on last week + minus 750g that I should have lost last week + minus 1 kg for good measure = minus 2kg 500g. Non, mais!!! Total loss 16½kg

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' really is a very curious film! Clever make-up, visual effects and a highly unbelievable story line go to make a pleasant enough, if unlikely visit to the cinema. Brad Pitt is born old and progressively gets younger...
