WE DID IT!

Yesterday, golfer and I bought a flat! All being well, we will be moving in at the end of April...photos to come when I can get them!

SWIMMING

A while ago I wrote about my problems with swimming, and notably my inability to keep my bum in the water when I was doing the breast stroke...well, I'm happy to say that, 2½ stones on from that, I can now swim without my buoyant bum floating to the surface....

TREPIDATION

It's weigh-in tonight and I'm scared! Valentine's weekend, plus a trip to the Isle of Wight on Tuesday have scuppered me this week...it's hard being a weight watcher.

Minus 750g that I put on last week + minus 750g that I should have lost last week + minus 1 kg for good measure = minus 2kg 500g. Non, mais!!! Total loss 16½kg

CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' really is a very curious film! Clever make-up, visual effects and a highly unbelievable story line go to make a pleasant enough, if unlikely visit to the cinema. Brad Pitt is born old and progressively gets younger...

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

How ill do you have to be before the NHS will sit up and take notice? The answer is: Dead When you are critically ill, if you have no-one to fight your corner and take on the mighty Health Service, you could lie on the floor all night and die of hypothermia...

KLEENEX

It may have been a little unbelievable, a little mini-melo, but 'Seven Pounds', with Will Smith as a man looking for redemption after causing the deaths of seven people in a car crash, had me sobbing last night. Hand over mouth, chest heaving, tears cascading...
