WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

How ill do you have to be before the NHS will sit up and take notice?  The answer is: Dead

When you are critically ill, if you have no-one to fight your corner and take on the mighty Health Service, you could lie on the floor all night and die of hypothermia and neglect before the so-called support agencies will do anything; that's almost what happend to Martin on Friday night after having been brought back from the hospital three times over the previous ten days due to falls and a complete incapacity to care for himself in any way.

Now, he is in hospital again and they are trying to offload him onto a respite care home for a month or so before putting him back in his flat to fend for himself...I guess they will only be happy when he gets taken to hospital again, but to the morgue this time.

Well done the NHS...
